Workshops and Events

We run a variety of exciting workshops and events here at Make It Easy. We run regular beginner workshops in film photography, black and white printing, colour printing and film processing as well as advanced workshops in traditional and alternative darkroom practice as well as subjects such as handmade bookmaking and image sequencing. We often collaborate with companies such as Kodak, Ilford Photo, Intrepid Camera and others.


All of our workshops are taught by either Daniel Wheeler or one of our trained staff, depending on the subject. We teach in a holistic way in which we aim to support the needs and learning styles of all of our students. Our workshops are known for being both intense and relaxed at the same time! This ensures that our students get the most out of our workshops.

We also run free social events and exhibitions. Our monthly Photo Social has become incredibly popular as an opportunity for photographers of all levels to share work and get support and advice from their peers. We have created an environment that is kind, supportive and non judgemental here and it is well worth attending a social if you can.
